AFTER CARE
After the treatment, you may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects are typically temporary and should resolve within a few days. Avoid certain activities, such as vigorous exercise, for a short period following the treatment.
SKINVIVE™ results can be seen immediately following the treatment and can last up to 12 months. Many patients choose to undergo regular treatments to maintain their results over time.
Here are some tips to help you care for your skin after the treatment:
Avoid touching the treated area
It is essential to avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment. This will help prevent infection and ensure that the product settles appropriately.
Avoid exposure to sunlight
Sun exposure can cause damage to the skin and may lead to hyperpigmentation. Avoiding direct sunlight and wearing protective clothing, hats, and sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when going outside is necessary.
Avoid strenuous exercise
Strenuous exercise can increase blood flow and cause swelling in the treated area. It is vital to avoid any strenuous activity for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
Apply a cold compress
Applying a cold compress to the treated area can help reduce swelling and discomfort. You can use a cold pack or a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel. Apply the compress for 10-15 minutes, several times a day.
Stay hydrated
Drinking plenty of water can help keep your skin hydrated and promote healing. Drinking at least eight glasses of water daily after the treatment is essential.
Avoid alcohol and smoking
Alcohol and smoking can cause dehydration and delay healing. It is essential to avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
